I'm Thinking Burnt Orange Strikes my Fancy..

So this weekend I am very happy to say that I painted my dining room. It's done, it's over with, it's behind me. Woooohooo. I am very excited to check that off of my "to do list."

I plan on taking a break from painting for a while, but I wanted to get this room out of the way before some busy weekends coming up and welllll I also hated the color lol. The color I chose for the room is a burnt orange. I had seen and fell in love with it in a condo I had looked at months & months ago. I had never forgot about it, and thought "why not use a color that has stuck with me in my new home?"

I have never had much orange. I am more of a green, teal, yellow kinda girl. However, I am excited to try something new and begin looking for fun, unique items to incorporate into my orange room.

On Saturday, all I really did was paint and by the end of the day was covered pretty nicely in orange (so was Palmer & Addie- lol). Danny had two games on Saturday, and his team won them both (Danny hit a homerun too)! His arm isn't giving him too much trouble, so we both are pretty darn happy about that. After the game, he helped me finish up the trim.

On Sunday my parents came up to visit and to help me with a few things. My Grandma decided to join as well. I was SO happy to see and spend time with all of them. My Mom and Grandma also have a good eye for decorating, so they began moving furniture and helping me try out new things. The end result, I now have my tv room a way that I love! Finally! I guess you can never have too many helping hands and suggestions.

Danny spent some time with us as well and we all had dinner before my family headed back home. At the end of the day, Danny and I agreed that it was a great day. We got a lot done and felt accomplished lol. Danny also got his car fixed. After some research, asking both our Dad's for their input, and a purchase of grease, he was able to fix the clunking noise in his car. I asked if he needed any help, but I am happy to say that he did this one on his own. Proud of my handy man! :)

Take care,

D & S

Sarah - LOVE your place!!! It is gorgeous. Can't wait to see it in person. Love the colors you chose. I think orange is such a fun color. I'm trying to work it into our home also. Happy color!

Hope you are taking good care of my boy. He needs help. LOL

See you soon.

Thanks, Sandy! Orange is def. a new color for me but I am having a lot of fun working with it and decorating. This always the fun part of a new house, don't you agree? lol. I hope all is well and can't wait for you guys to see it in person as well (feel free to give me your honest input hehe).

I am also trying my best to nurse Danny back to great health. I swear every other word out of my mouth has to do with drinking water, resting or taking medication. =)
