I love Sundays. It definitely is my favorite day of the week. Saturdays are when I feel people usually sleep in late and get things done that they have put off during the work week, but on Sunday, you get a chance to do more things that you enjoy or get to enjoy doing nothing at all. Maybe this is just how my weekends usually pan out. lol. :]
On Friday, Danny and I each got ready then he dropped me off at a friend's house. He went off and enjoyed dinner with his friend Jared and his friend, Dan, who was visiting. I got a chance to see one of my good friend's apartments (SO cute) and have a drink with her and one of her co workers, before heading out. My friend wanted to show me a place in her neighborhood, so I borrowed a pair of flip flops and off we walked to Carabar. On our way, we had a young boy and girl run up to us and ask if we wanted a kitten they had found (go out, get a cat!? who knew!) Anyways, my friend agreed to stop over on Sunday, if they'd still have the kitten, and take it. Needless to say, she is now a proud mama to a little kitty.
Carabar was fun! We stopped for a drink and a shot and it was fun to check out a new place. I told her I'd love to walk to her downtown again sometime, but maybe during the day, so I could get a chance to see all of the gorgeous Victorian houses and their landscape. I love that kind of stuff. Anywho, Danny met up with us for a bit and we all hung out before meeting up with his friends. It was a fun night that consisted of trying out new places, hanging out with friends, relaxing, and getting to wear a new dress! For me, a new dress (or heels) can really be the cherry on top to great evening. :)
My Mom also called me on Friday asking if I would need any help cleaning in preparation for my party. She had asked me this a couple times so I could tell she was worried that with working and all, I may not be able to clean a whole house. I finally told her that she was always more than welcome to come up and help, but to not feel like she had to. On Saturday morning my Mom pulled in, cleaning supplies and all, to save the day! lol. Saturday was a very productive day. My TV and dining room now sparkle, the pool is clean, my bedroom is rearranged, my extra bedroom is organized, and the list goes on and on. After cleaning, Mom, Danny and I got some dinner then loaded my Mom up and said "adios."
So today for me is another Lazy Sunday. All I really have to get done is clean up my front porch and mow before it may rain. My friend and I are then going to surprise Danny and try and catch some of his games (weather permitting, fingers crossed)! He knew I had things to do today to continue getting ready for my party, and with the heat lately, he wasn't sure if I'd catch him play at all. Little does he know... lol..
Hoping for a better week for Danny in the health department. He's been drinking the water, taking the meds and getting lots of rest... to try and get his body back up to speed. I am hoping it will pay off and this week will be a better one for him!
Welp i'm off to mow. I enjoy it once I get going, but getting the motivation to start is another story. lol. Happy Sunday!
