Anything worth having..doesn't come easy..

Danny and I have both been busy doing the usual. Between working a lot, doing house stuff, baseball, taking care of pups and finding time for a social life.... we're usually excited when we get a little time to just sit and relax.

I have been moving forward and trying to wrap up the final details regarding my new house. I met with my lender yesterday and am now working with my realtor to write up the inspection report and hear back about the details of the closing. Fingers crossed for Thursday, May 27th. It has been a great and longggg experience, however I think I am finally ready to move forward and begin seeing and enjoying the benefits of all the work. I wonder if three months is the average for a first time home buyer?

Danny has been staying busy himself. In addition to serving as a great support for me, he is busy putting in long hours at Chase, staying in shape for baseball and trying to enjoy the weather any chance he gets. One of my nicknames for him is superman. Although I call him this, I try and remind him from time to time that he isn't superman and shouldn't take on more than he can handle. I too need this reminder from time to time. lol. I guess sometimes it is easy to take on a lot before realizing that it may be more than you can handle at the time. Anywho, I am proud of his many accomplishments and am really excited for what the future has in store for him. He is one hardworking individual. That is just one of many things that I love about him.

I know him and I talk every so often about things we are looking forward to, that await us this summer and in the future. We both are very outdoorsy people, so we are excited to finally have a nice yard to enjoy. I plan to get good use out of my future deck. I plan on spending many days laying out, grilling out and just enjoying the weather and playing with the puppies. I forsee many great memories. I also have mentioned to Danny that he could keep his bike in my garage if he would like. I know he talks about biking and how much he enjoys it so I hope with a nice, new place to store it and many months of nice weather ahead, both may allow him to do it more. The cherry on top of all of this is the fact that it will be summer. I love summer.

Although things have been busy busy, May is going to be a month to remember. In addition to moving into my house, we are making ourselves take a trip and get away for a bit. The thought of sand between my toes and tropical drinks makes me smile. I can't wait!

Hope everyone is getting a chance to stop and enjoy the things that make Springtime so great!

Much love,

Sarah (& Danny too)
