Let me see ya grill...

Well Monday is behind us, and thank goodness for that. If you can make it through a Monday, I'm convinced you can make it through anything. lol.

This past weekend was a busy, productive, tiring, and fun one for us. Friday we got up early and met Kate to look at a couple houses. After that we scooped up the dogs and our bags and headed to Cincy. We stopped by my Dad's work to see him and my cousin, Phil, before heading to my house to see my Mom. After visiting for a bit and getting the puppies settled in, we were off to Louisville for work. It was a beautiful drive and a great day for traveling.

We luckily didn't hit any Friday traffic and made good time. We were able to get settled in and relax for a bit. Our hotel was very nice. It had a pool, hot tub, tennis courts, work out facility, a nice restaurant etc. We kicked off the night by heading out to dinner on the river. We decided to eat at a restaurant called King Fish, located on the Indiana side. It was very good and even served hush puppies almost the size of your head! Crazy. We ended dinner by taking a picture in front of the beautifully lite city of Louisville and driving with windows down, sunroof open, and music bumpin. Love moments like that. =)

After dinner we met up with Stephanie and Eric. Eric lives in Louisville and Steph was visiting, so we all decided to spend a night out on the town. Our hotel happened to be by a great night life spot called 4th street. There are tons of bars, restaurants, a comedy club, etc. You are able to walk around with drinks and go in and out of bars freely with them as well. All of the businesses are covered by a steel looking roof too, and Eric shared with us that bands will set up and play there from time to time. We enjoyed a few drinks at an Irish pub then headed over to Hardrock cafe for some pig nachos. It was great to see them and catch up. It was also great to experience a fun time in a new city! Gotta love trying new things!

I woke up EARLY the next morning and got breakfast with my rep before our show, Kentucky Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, began. It was a very good show and it was nice to put some names with faces and meet the doctors. I was particularly excited because I got to speak with a doctor and chief resident, from University of Louisville and get the ball rolling with them wanting to use our device in a case and wanting to add it to their Oral Surgery Department (at the University) in the near future. I was pretty stoked. Woo hoo!

After the show, we packed up and started our journey back to Loveland. We got dinner with my parents, enjoyed the weather and visited for a bit, then hopped in, filled up and back to Columbus we went.

On Sunday, I got to see Danny's opening baseball game! It was the perfect day for some baseball. My friend Sarah, from work, walked over with her dogs and joined me. I also got to see and spend some time with the Barkers as well. Danny pitched for the first half of the game, and personally, had a great game. I look forward to many more Sundays like this past one. :) After the game we got lunch/dinner/ linner (not sure what you call a 3 o'clock meal lol) with Mr. and Mrs. Barker at Unos, before they headed to continue their furniture search. We headed back, relaxed for a bit then were on our way to volunteer! Volunteering went great! There were about eight of us and we made spaghetti, salad, rolls and dessert for about thirteen residents. We were only there for a little over an hour, but it felt good to give back and help these people who have a loved one at the OSU Medical Center. I must say, Danny did a pretty great job taken over the spaghetti making duties. Fingers crossed no one got sick as a result. haha. :P

Last night we had a long list of things to get done, and for the most part, we were successful. We decided to grill out (our first time this year) and Danny picked up burgers, shrimp, mushrooms, red skinned potatoes, etc. His grilling turned out great (and yummy too). I was able to get a head start on some of my cleaning before this weekend, so I was pretty happy about that. I am going tonight to look at a couple new houses (hopefully Dano can join me)... so the search continues...

Lots of things to look forward to and with warm weather comes new things to try this spring and summer... we couldn't be more excited..

Love,

Leady n' Dano
