Don't forget to stop and smell the roses..

Time is flying and the end of April is already approaching. Seriously where does the time go? On our conference call on Monday my boss concluded the phone call by simply saying to take time in your busy life to stop and smell the roses. I think applying this thought to your life may help you enjoy each day and hopefully help each day to not whiz by so quickly.

Today is my Mom's birthday. I won't reveal her age, because welllll I know better. ;) Anywho, Happy birthday, Mom! I love you and hope you have a great day! Treat yourself to something that you enjoy, you deserve to.

This weekend Katrina came to visit Columbus and brought her boyfriend Mike with her as well. It was Mike's first time in Columbus and our first time meeting him. It was great to see and spend time with them both. Luckily the weather was nice and it didn't rain, like they had said it would, on Friday night. On Friday, the four of us got ready then Katrina, Danny, Mike, Liz and myself all went to Lemongrass in the Short North. This is where Danny and I actually went for Valentine's Day <3. Anywho, we all split a bottle of wine and enjoyed a nice meal. I really enjoyed myself. It was a great atmosphere to eat, drink and be merry. After that we did a little bar hopping so Mike could get a feel of downtown Columbus. I hope he enjoyed it and got a feel of how us crazy girls used to have fun back in the good ole' college days. lol.

On Saturday we all relaxed and were bums for most of the day. It was great! We started off the day by going to breakfast at Frisches. Mike had never been to one and Katrina wanted him to experience what the Big Boy is all about. Afterwards, the two of them went on a walk around campus so Mike could see Ohio State. When they were finished and heading back, we offered to swing by and pick them up and take them to a great Tai restaurant that we love. Mike really likes Tai food, so it seemed to be a great choice. Saturday night we popped in a power hour and had some friends over for a little get together at my place. It was a lot of fun and was good to see some friends I hadn't seen in a while and catch up. We also got to enjoy the bottle that Katrina and Mike brought. That was so nice of them and well, Katrina knows me too well. Got to love Lemon drops.

Monday Danny worked out and continued to take care of his sore arm after his game on Sunday. We then relaxed, ordered some food and watched Dancing with the Stars. It was an enjoyable, easy going evening after a long work day. Last night Danny suggested some Margaritas at the Mexican restaurant near my house, so we got some drinks and enjoyed the fresh, crisp night. It was nice to relax outside, get some fresh air and socialize with the boyfriend over a good drink. Sometimes those random moments are simply the best.

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone. Now I will leave you with a nice quote. Enjoy!

Never be afraid to try something new.. Noah was an amateur; the Titanic was built by professionals... :-)
