Happy Thursday everyone!
How crazy has the storms been here the past few nights? I've been hearing crazy stories on the news and from coworkers of trucks being over turned and people having their sheds picked up and set in neighbor's yards, and even a couple deaths were reported since winds got up to 65 mph in some areas. Some crazy summer weather!
This week has been a busy but great one for me! Last weekend I spent some time at home and with my family. I got a chance to visit for a bit and finally clean out my car. After using it for a move, to transport house and yard supplies, two pups, etc.. it was in bad shape. However, after using some muscle and some scrubbing, it is nice n' shiny! =)
Danny is on vacation with his family this week (visiting his family on the east coast), so i've taken the time to work on and do somethings for myself. Although I miss my boy, time apart is usually a chance to re energize and anticipate the time you get to see, hug and kiss them. It's been kind of weird not having him around at times, but I look forward to seeing him on Saturday! <3
On Sunday, I came back at a descent time because I wanted to get started on my painting. My sister drove up after work to help me. We painted my bedroom a light gray and the trim white. I LOVE it! My modern, relaxing retreat is exactly what I had pictured, maybe even better. I can not thank my sister enough for all of her help because she was a HUGE help! I love her tons for it and if it wasn't for her, I'd probably still be painting lol.
Monday after work, I finished up some of the trim then started moving in the furniture. I definitely didn't think I'd be done so quickly, however it's usually not a bad thing to be ahead of schedule. My vision has become a reality and I am thrilled to finally have a bedroom that I love to spend time in.
Have a great weekend! I know i'm looking forward to seeing Danny play in his All Stars game at Ohio State's Stadium on Saturday. Players from different teams were chosen to play in this game and Danny was one of only six pitchers to be selected. I know he is very excited (and how big of an honor this is) so it should be a lot of fun. Super proud of him!!! Something to mark off of his personal bucket list, perhaps? ;)
I will try and post pictures very soon.
XoXo,
S
